The Enfield Saints created the Golden Shield award along with the Golden Boot, Golden Eye, Golden Glove, Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards on 6 August 2013. The Golden Shield goes to the player with the most defender clean sheets in a season, the Silver Shield goes to second place and the Bronze Shield to third. The award is given out at the end of every season.
